F-Spot Goal 06-02
Description:
This goal will focus the developers/testers attention on the advanced
queries issue. This issue is best described in
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139796. But in short, here's
the point:
- be able to make complex queries on tags, using logical operators like
OR, AND, NOT and grouping expression
- with a nice and user-friendly UI
- without breaking the actual logic and users habits
The patch was working, back in January, here's an self-explaining
screenshot: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/attachment.cgi?id=54566
This goal was set and accepted by developers on the F-Spot meeting of
2006/07/31(http://f-spot.org/Meeting/mom_0601)
Steps required to do this:
- update the patch/cvs branch to make it compliant with HEAD
- discuss default behavior, filtering method (UI), agree on
functionalities
- polish the ui
- review the code, test it
- ...
Status: 0% (Not Started)
How to be involved:
- carefully read the bug entry
- say "I'm in". For this one, we not only need developers involved, but
also usability testers and advisers, plus usual testers and reviewers
Due Date: let's say in 3 weeks, when Larry came back...
