Mac OS X error

Hi,
I got f-spot running on Mac OS X using darwinports and a small amount of tweaking, but I keep getting the same errors experienced by Niklas Saers as described here:
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/f-spot-list/2005-January/msg00035.html

I had been using f-spot 0.0.7, but decided to try CVS just to see if it was fixed there, but got the same error. Here it is just so you don't have to go back and look at the other email if you don't want to:

flapjack:~/f-spot/f-spot/src benwei$ sh f-spot
*** Running uninstalled f-spot ***

Unhandled Exception: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object in [0x000b7] (at /Users/benwei/f-spot/f-spot/src/PhotoStore.cs:1098) PhotoStore:Query (Tag[],PhotoStore/DateRange) in [0x0001d] (at /Users/benwei/f-spot/f-spot/src/PhotoQuery.cs:17) FSpot.PhotoQuery:.ctor (PhotoStore) in [0x00223] (at /Users/benwei/f-spot/f-spot/src/MainWindow.cs:192) MainWindow:.ctor (Db) in [0x00069] (at /Users/benwei/f-spot/f-spot/src/main.cs:27) Driver:Main (string[])

Nobody seems to have replied to Niklas's query, and I'm wondering if anyone knows what the problem here is? Should I not even bother with trying to get it to run on Mac OS X?
Thanks,
Ben
