No, I don't find it confusing at all. It's _extra_ information, which is
clearly separated by being in parentheses and italics, and cannot in any
way make me _less_ aware of the date/time. And it's useful that it comes
out on printouts etc., which the one in the message list does not.

I agree that it wouldn't be good to make the date field 'too verbose'
but I think that what I've added is so subtle it really shouldn't cause
a problem to anyone. Take a look at the screenshot and judge for
yourself.
