Hmm what if the date is also different between the two timezones?  In
that case it looks like it would get confusing since you only add the
time.

I feel like the current way (i.e. just showing the local date in the
message list) is better, since it doesn't make the date field too
verbose, while still allowing you to see what the local time is.
