Just for the record, the point of the HIG is that all the applications
follow its directions. If they follow them just when their developers
agree with them, then apps end up being inconsistent with each other,
which defeats the purpose completely.
If there are inconsistencies in the HIG they should be reported to the
usability list so they get fixed.
