+1 This is a bad idea that does not solve an actual problem.
tmpfs is quite nice for some purposes, OTOH I often run out of RAM when
compiling software such as Firefox and sometimes even when compiling a
kernel in tmpfs.
IMO nowadays there are tendencies to overdo tmpfs usage. Reminds me of
"Warning: Usage of psd in overlayfs mode (in particular,
psd-overlay-helper) may lead to privilege escalation." -
