        Hi,
I would try to create a new temporary Maildir account in Evolution [1]
and point it to the copy of the ../kmail/mail/ directory, which should
show you all those mails. You can copy then under On This Computer or
elsewhere in Evolution. I'd probably not keep the extra Maildir account
in Evolution after you've the mails "imported".

[1] In menu File->New->Mail Account->Server type=Maildir->choose the
folder "..kmail/mail/"  and finish with 'sendmail' or 'None' sending
server.
