Evolution does not budge. No prompt for a password. Nothing.

Also I tried googling for how to setup a password in the passwords
and keys app for Evolution. Could not find an answer there either.

        Hi,
there is no such guide, because those are private data.

I'm afraid I've given up. It should not be this hard.

You are right, it really should not be that hard. I recall there had
been some issues with password prompts in certain cases in the past,
surely fixed in the latest stable, which is 3.34.x series.

I'm using Thunderbird from now on. Pity, Evolution looks great!

I agree, it's pity. Yours 3.28.5 is basically ancient, you might get
more luck with the recent stable (otherwise nobody could use it,
right?).

You can try, as a workaround, configure the account through GNOME
Online Accounts (if the version provided by your distribution supports
IMAP accounts), or, if you did it before, then configure it directly in
Evolution. It can change things.
        Bye,
        Milan
