Another thing I thought about. Did you just let Evo figure out the
connections itself after giving the email address?  If so, then you
might try redoing the account but unticking the box at the bottom of
the first screen that says "Look up mail server details". It might be
that OAuth2 is persisting because that's what has been discovered Evo
should use.  Before you delete the current configuration, make a note
of the server settings so you get the correct hostnames and ports.
