We use google mail for our company and I am using evolution 3.27.3.
It is usually not advisable to use the odd numbered releases for
production systems as they are the development versions. The latest
stable is 3.26.3.
My question is:
Can I administer GOA from inside evolution or is gnome control centre
still required?
GOA was only required for Evolution when it didn't support OAuth2
natively. It does now, so you don't really need GOA at all.
