[Evolution] Whats the timeout setting on DNS resolution ?

I've been trying to help Ed with his comcast connection

Something I've noticed, On the settings if you put in the email address
of user comcast nt , Evo fills in the correct settings.
BUt if you then click on "check for supported types"
you get a Red error message saying it cant resolve
imap.comcast.net
So I did a DNS lookup

One thing thats very noticeable , apart from the CNAME to
imap.ge.xinfinity.com
is the query time
179 msec  thats long !!
I wonder if that's the problem that evo's lookup is timing out
before the server address is resolved.
It would explain the errors messages
