[Evolution] Deleting while viewing messages

Friends: I just upgraded to Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS and have only one problem with Evolution: When viewing a message that I want to delete, doing so within the message results in the next message opening. Is there a setting that will result in reversion to the parent folder and not open another message?
