More strangnes after the upgrade to 3.24.2.

Your posting does not seem to be about EWS contacts.
I'm not sure if only Arch users are affected, however, the detailed
Arch versions are shown below. Maybe those commits are ok, however, at
least the Arch versions aren't simply
[rocketmouse@archlinux ~]$ evolution -v
evolution 3.24.2
they are 3.24.1+git:
[rocketmouse@archlinux ~]$ grep _commit /var/abs/extra/evolution/PKGBUILD
_commit=fc6d11eb4aab2cb44a6f63ea540d14138d278605 # gnome-3-24
source=("git+https://git.gnome.org/browse/evolution#commit=$_commit")
[rocketmouse@archlinux ~]$ grep _commit /var/abs/extra/evolution-data-server/PKGBUILD
_commit=98589a27b56a8e790774ea792104c0d78927c887 # gnome-3-24
source=("git+https://git.gnome.org/browse/evolution-data-server#commit=$_commit")
[rocketmouse@archlinux ~]$ grep _commit /var/abs/extra/evolution-ews/PKGBUILD
_commit=cc72e27bedccf36f22eeb1be92e1408aae88128a # tags/EVOLUTION_EWS_3_24_1^0
source=("git+https://git.gnome.org/browse/evolution-ews#commit=$_commit")
[rocketmouse@archlinux ~]$ grep evolution /var/log/pacman.log|tail -4
[2017-04-25 02:09] [ALPM] upgraded evolution-data-server (3.22.6-1 -> 3.24.1+5+g98589a27b-2)
[2017-04-25 02:09] [ALPM] upgraded evolution (3.22.6-1 -> 3.24.1+6+gfc6d11eb4a-1)
[2017-04-25 02:09] [ALPM] upgraded evolution-bogofilter (3.22.6-1 -> 3.24.1+6+gfc6d11eb4a-1)
[2017-04-25 02:09] [ALPM] upgraded evolution-spamassassin (3.22.6-1 -> 3.24.1+6+gfc6d11eb4a-1)
I'm not using those features that fail, I'm e.g. using POP accounts,
anyway, for what I'm doing with Evolution everything works.
A lot of packages were upgraded, I already reported some hiccups, while
one package wasn't renamed (I was mistaken), just some info was removed,
from the package libsoup...
[rocketmouse@archlinux ~]$ pactree -r libsoup
libsoup
├─abiword
├─geoclue2
│ ├─webkit2gtk
│ │ ├─atril
│ │ ├─cinnamon-screensaver
│ │ │ └─cinnamon
│ │ ├─gnome-online-accounts
│ │ │ ├─evolution-data-server
│ │ │ │ ├─evolution
│ │ │ │ │ ├─evolution-bogofilter
│ │ │ │ │ └─evolution-spamassassin
...the info that it provides libsoup-gnome. This is unrelated to your
issues, but there were many other packages unintended downgraded and
upgraded, that might belong to the dependency chain, too.
Regards,
Ralf
