[Evolution] categories and colours / appointment notifications

Hi *,

I searched for a long time for a Linux client that can make use of the
Exchange groupware functionality similar to Outlook.
Yesterday I installed evolution with the evolution-ews connector for the
first time and what can I say: I am really impressed about the advanced
integration in Exchange server.

I have two setups here:

1. openSuSE Leap 42.1 (all updates installed)
   with evolution 3.16.5
2. openSuSE Tumbleweed (latest snapshot as for today)
   with evolution 3.20.5

Both setups don't have serious problems and the main functionality is
given.

Two small problems exist, though:

1. Despite the description in the manual I couldn't find out, how to
setup coloured calendar items based on categories, i.e. assign a
colour to a category, then assign the category to an appointment, so
that the appointment shows up with the given colour.
All that I found was to assign an icon to a category.

2. Mail notifications work as expected, but appointment notifications
   show up random or never.
   /usr/lib/evolution/evolution-alarm-notify is running.

Is there anything I can do to solve those two problems?

Thx a lot.

Bye.
Michael.
