[Evolution] What is the format for rules in filters.xml? How can I alter or creat rules?

Evolution 3.13.90, OS Mageia 5 Linux
Attempts to create or modify a mail filter results in a 
segmentation fault when I click ok to save the change.
Where are the instructions for how to arrange the rules within 
filters.xml to accomplish what the gui would normally do for 
you?

I have tried copying a rule section to a second location in the 
file, and then modify section copied to create a new rule, with 
partial success.  
There seem to be variable numbers of lines containing the value 
to be match by a rule, and I cannot under stand why?  I do not 
understand how to add multiple values with an "or" choice.  And
I am getting one problem like the following:

Applied filter "XYZ" to message from sender bla com - "Subject" 
at Mon,10 Jun 2016 21:50:45
Action: Move to folder folder://local/Regulars/XYZ
Action: Stopped processing

What makes it stop processing?

Can anyone help?
