      Hi,
subscriptions are handled on the server, the server knows where you are
subscribed and where not. From the second log (which shows less buzz
around):

[imapx:A] I/O: 'A00006 LSUB "" "INBOX.*"'
[imapx:A] I/O: 'A00006 OK LSUB completed'
[imapx:A] I/O: 'A00007 LIST "" "#shared.*"'
[imapx:A] I/O: '* LIST (\Unmarked \HasNoChildren) "." >
"#shared user1 mytest co uk.Stuff"
* LIST (\Noselect \HasChildren) "." "#shared user1 mytest co uk"
A00007 OK LIST completed'
[imapx:A] I/O: 'A00008 LSUB "" "#shared.*"'
[imapx:A] I/O: 'A00008 OK LSUB completed'
[imapx:A] I/O: 'A00009 LIST "" "shared.*"'
[imapx:A] I/O: 'A00009 OK LIST completed'
[imapx:A] I/O: 'A00010 LSUB "" "shared.*"'
[imapx:A] I/O: 'A00010 OK LSUB completed'

The LIST shows known folders, while the LSUB shows subscribed folders,
but even that requires to have returned certain folder flags, like the
\Subscribed. None of these is returned by your server, thus, as I
understand it, the server doesn't know that you are subscribed to that
folder. You can use Folder->Subscriptions in Evolution to
subscribe/unsubscribe from certain folders. Evolution shows only the
personal folders, not all the other users or shared, and that yours
belongs to the 'shared' namespace, from which Evolution shows only
subscribed folders.
      Bye,
      Milan

I have made sure Evo is subscribed to all folders, and on the mail server the file courierimapsubscribed
contains the correct list of folders. I still have the problem that the shared folders disappear from the Evo
folder pane after 10 minutes (this is also my mail check interval).
I have updated pastebin but the output is essentially the same (though being unfamiliar with IMAP output I
could be mistaken!)
What can I do next? Courier seems not to use the \Subscribed flag, though it is only the #shared filters that
disappear.

Neil.
