Hi,
I guess you face
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=630504
though having a backtrace would make it clear.
Is there a way to fix it?
Unfortunately not, except of not having the GAL setup as the default
address book and do not use that dialog for contact picking. I
understand it's not always possible.
1. In "Account Editor", Click "Fetch List" will show "Failed to
locate offline address books. The reported error was "404 Not Found".
That means that the OAB URL from the previous tab points to a wrong
place or the server redirects into an inexistent place.
2. In the main Contacts window, "Offline Global Addres List" does not
cause 100% CPU usage.
Different view, different sorting, different behavior. With a specific
sorting you can get that freeze as well:

Bye,
