Thanks for the guidance, Milan. Here's bt.txt:
Hi,
if I read the backtrace properly, then the crash happens when the
messages list was going to draw the first column of it, an image of an
envelope, the one for a regular, new, replied and forwarded mail. The
gdk (part of gtk+) claims a runtime error (the reason of the abort):
Gdk:ERROR:/build/buildd/gtk+3.0-
3.10.8/./gdk/gdkcairo.c:193:gdk_cairo_surface_paint_pixbuf:
assertion failed: (cairo_image_surface_get_format (surface) ==
CAIRO_FORMAT_RGB24 || cairo_image_surface_get_format (surface) ==
CAIRO_FORMAT_ARGB32)
I dind't find anything same in the evolution itself, the closest is
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=639723
but it's awfully old and irrelevant these days.
One closest to this asserting in gtk+ is:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=723220#c3
The linked comment contains an explanation. Maybe you've the same
issue, even your log doesn't show any claims about missing icons in the
theme.
Hope it helps,
Milan
