Evolution is the main e-mail client for my business. It works okay for
my secretary because she generally gets simple e-mail. I get all sorts
of stuff with lots of graphics, ics calendar files, etc. The ONLY way
to solve your problem is to move to Ubuntu 15.10 and use evolution 3.16.54.
E-mail that used to cause all sorts of grief with 3.10.4, now doesn't
cause any problems.
I am running 15.10 or three PCs. All very stable.

Evolution (under Ubuntu 14.04) is crashing on startup, while it reads:
"generating message list …"
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the problem persists.
Suggestions welcome.

Thanks for the tip. I'm not in a hurry to move to Ubuntu 15.10, but it
sure looks like I'm sliding in that direction.
