Hi,
do you mean there is no On This Computer in the folder tree on the
left of the list of messages? What do you see in
Edit->Preferences->Mail Accounts, is there On This Computer and it is
enabled? Are there any runtime warnings on the console, when you run
evolution from it?
Bye,
Milan
Hi thanks for the reply. I've only just started getting the
digests. Under my computer there was nothing apart from my
Virtual Folders. No Inbox, no folders of any kind other than my
search folders. All my accounts were there under Edit -
>Preferences - > Mail Accounts.
I have solved it now by renaming the ./local/share/evolution
folder to another name, restarting evolution forcing it to
create a new set of mailboxes and then copying my old ones back
into the new folders bit by bit and restarting evolution each
time so that copied folder is integrated into the tree. Then I
copy and paste the mail into a new folder using the evolution
program as I no longer trust the integrity of the original
folders. It has taken me a long time but it is now working.
I have to say that there has to be a better way. The backup and
restore system has only ever worked once for me. Thanks for the
help.
John
