Re: [Evolution] Tasks categories

Your suggestion about opening the Evolution on a terminal to identify the categories file sounded brilliant at a first time. But, unfortunately, Evolution doesn't show any message when called by the shell.

    Hi,
there was a bug in evolution-data-server, both when adding and when
removing categories, which is fixed in more recent version, like
the current stable 3.6.3.

You can workaround some issues by editing the underlying file yourself.
When you run evolution from a terminal, you'll see a line with text like
"Loaded X categories", or something like that. If I recall correctly, it
also tells you from where the categories were loaded, aka the file. It's
a text file, just edit it and check what's there. One bug was that
either non-default or non-selectable categories didn't show up in UI,
thus make it selectable may help.

With respect of comboboxes in filters above views, it also was fixes
meanwhile. Or maybe even in your ancient version, maybe it is only
a fallout from the first issue, I cannot tell for sure, I'm sorry, it's
too long time ago for me.
    Bye,
    Milan
