Andre
Is this any use. I found that every time I tried to create a auto-signature the app crashed, so I tried the reproduce route.

Andre
Many, many thanks for getting back to me. It is very appreciated.
As an example of crashing - funny, but I tried to reply to you 3 times and each time Evolution just crashed as I clicked the Reply button, and in each case no crash message or report was generated.
As for some of the pointers about Auto signatures, as mentioned I am quite seasoned in using eMail clients (over 20 years) and even Evolution, which I have used for 3 years now. So setting up auto-signature - all now removed because of these issues has not been an issue to date. I feel quite comfortable about using.
Anyway. I am going through your list and I have responded to what I have done as I go and detailed below FYI in
RED to help you find and read my comments.
PS: Note my reply and the way the heading appears. That is point 3 and this is "out of the box" no auto-signatures available or changes made. Others have found this and replied to my Ubuntu thread to confirm.
I look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks in advance
Regards
Jonathan

If your application crashes, please get a backtrace. See
http://projects.gnome.org/evolution/bugs.shtml#backtrace or
https://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces/Details#Obtaining_a_stack_trace_using_GDB
Ubuntu should also have a tool to create such stuff automatically,
called "Apport". Don't know why it doesn't trigger for you.
It does, but it is not generating any alerts for Evolution crashes. I have followed the two links.
Most I have to know how to re create the problem, which I can not do, and I have tried the Backtrace and can not get it to work. Here is what it says to do and what the output says...
I.e.
Follow these steps to run the process under gdb
- Run the command 'gdb ${install_prefix}/path/of/process-file'
- At the gdb prompt type 'run'
I get:
baronipc baronipc:~$ gdb ${install_prefix}/bin/evolution
GNU gdb (GDB) 7.5-ubuntu

/bin/evolution: No such file or directory.
(gdb) run

Use the "file" or "exec-file" command.
(gdb) run
I know I am doing this wrong, and pasting literally, but that is what it is asking and as I do not know what I should put down.... well there layith the problem.

Two signatures? Both with the "-- " in front of them, or how can I
imagine this? Which one is shown by the "Signature" dropdown in the
upper right corner in the email composer?
They were all listed in "Signature" drop down I did not include the "--" in the signature, that is added automatically.
FYI I attach a word doc of ONE of the signatures I use. I hope it helps.
The auto-signatures named were:
Personal
Work informal
Work - enclosed fyi
Baroni
Administration
Information

http://library.gnome.org/users/evolution/3.6/mail-composer-mail-signatures.html
covers how to use and set signatures.
Yup, know all that......... Done many times.

Take this one back... They did not work, but I just tried to take a screenshot for you and they all worked.
Which reply type do you use by default? See
http://library.gnome.org/users/evolution/3.6/mail-composer-reply.html.en#default-settings
Does this also happen with other reply types?
I always use the "inline (Outlook style)"

Synchronizing what exactly?
I assume folders.... I have enclosed a screenshot... It shows a number of activities at the foot of the client window. There can be many more than this. Once they start it just stops working - normally, not always.

Which calendar type is this about? A local one, or remote (Google
calendar, Ubuntu One, etc)?
Remote - ALL my accounts I monitor/use are hosted by or are Google. So company are all @Baroni-Limited.com and my personal is @gmail.com
> 6. Also in Calendar the tabs for Chair and "required attendee" do not

What does "do not work" mean exactly?
What exactly do you do, what happens, what doesn't happen?
Take this one back... They did not work, but I just tried to take a screenshot for you and they all worked.
