Hello all,
Some months ago I submitted bug #666325 [1]. In this bug report I write
that Evolution is unable to display certain e-mails so that they are
readable; instead, they are displayed with HTML-code mixing with the
text of the message. The title of the bug report says it concerns a
specific server, but since then I've seen this happen with much more
messages on other mail servers.
I know the problem lies with Evolution because Thunderbird and the
webmail interfaces display all e-mails without problems. I provided all
the necessary information in the bug report, but still there is no
response from the developers after all these months. I realize that
Evolution has more than 1600 bugs open at the moment, but this bug seems
to be so serious that I would think it would receive some priority.
However, so far I seem to be the only one who is affected by this bug,
because my bug hasn't been marked as a duplicate and no other bugs has
been marked as duplicates of my bug. So my question is: is anyone else
affected by the bug I reported? I have no idea what's going on, but if
this bug is caused by the problematic HTML-rendering of Evolution, would
the work on the implementation of WebKit in Evolution fix this?
Greetings,
Alexander van Loon
