If you run "CAMEL_VERBOSE_DEBUG=1 evolution" does it tell you anything?
Are you 'downloading' to a local MBOX mailbox via POP?  Or some other
type of account?  How big is is the MBOX [maybe you've hit the size
limit]?

Are you sure you have reliable network connectivity to that host/port?
