the mbox->Maildir conversion was broken in 3.4.1. It got fixed in 3.4.4 [1], but doesn't sound like that will do Bruno any good now.
As a follow-up to my previous e-mail : 1) I've got a strange "#evolution" folder in my new folder list. Any advice on the best way to remove it ? 2) all the mailbox files are available in ~/.local/share/evolution/mail/local. Can I run the "mb2md" script that can be found on the internet ? Bruno.
