There is a notification widget for Evolution, at least in 2.32.
When I close it, there is no longer any notification. At least I can't
sense them ...
Of course mine is 2.28.3 not 2.32.
Yes, notification in 2.28.x is effectively broken; at least that was my
experience. 2.32 is a big improvement overall.
