Create a maildir mailbox ....
How does one do that?
(The 'new folder' option does not provide such a choice.)
The only way I could find to have Maildir folders was in the Account
ISP setup, and that did not provide for reading email into it (i.e.
could not define a POP3 server to fetch email into Maildir folder).
It's a two step process. You create a new account of type
"Maildir-format mail directories" and point the path at an existing
Maildir store. You then filter your incoming POP mail into that mail
account - you can either selectively filter the mail or just put
everything in (use a filter condition of 'Source Account' and the action
is 'Move to Folder').
If you already have an Mbox format mailbox full of mail then use 'mb2md'
to convert it into a Maildir format store, or alternatively once you
have the account set up, just copy and paste the mail within Evolution.
(Did not opt for IMAP as that incurs an extra ISO charge - not good
for pensioners...)
I hope that's not The BCS that's charging extra for IMAP!
