  Just to clone the latest email Inbox and Sent folders into the laptop
(and back to desktop on return from trip), would perhaps Evolution's
Backup/Restore function do the trick?

(I've used Mozbak on someone else's Windows machine to do a similar
Backup/restore transfer between Thunderbird on two different machines.)
