Isn't that what the "View -> Hide Deleted Messages" tick box is all
about?

I haven't configured a clean install of Evo recently, but ISTR that by
default that option is enabled - perhaps it would be a good thing to
make it default to disabled since a significant number of the queries to
this list involve the fact that people don't see deleted messages.
