Is there a bug, or an uncompatibility ? Or did I do something wrong ?
Although the circumstances and version numbers are different (since I appear to use a different distro), the same thing is happening to me. I briefly ran 2.24.3 and evolution kept crashing when I accessed my calendar or address book. I think the calendar crashes because it has birthdays and anniversaries from the address book.
So I tried to go back to 2.24.2 and that crashed in the same way. However I have found that if I manually start e-d-s first and then evolution it will work with 2.24.2. This work around only helps with 2.24.2 though. If I try the same with 2.24.3 it still crashes. The work around has allowed me to save my address book entries, so I could potentially delete my address book and build a fresh one.
There is one fix in 2.24.3 around the address book (557176). This is something to do with views without a </grouping>. Can one safely delete the views from .evolution/addressbook/views/?
