[Evolution] Ubuntu 8.10 with Palm TX

Is there anyone here who can get Evolution v2.24.1 to work, using Ubuntu's latest offering, with their Palm T|X?
When I tried to synchronise, first of all it dod not recognise that I had ever synchronised before (and I had) and then when I tried to synchronise, several times, everything just hung when I plugged in my Palm. Yes, bith fields had USB in them (if you know what I am referring to).
