[Evolution] HTML signature displaying the HTML???

Hello all:

I'm running Evolution 2.12.1 on Ubuntu 7.10.  I've created an HTML signature and set my default e-mail format to HTML.  However, when I create any new messages, my signature comes out as you see it below.  I created this signature using the normal method (Edit->Preferences->Composer Preferences->Signatures->Add). 

Why is it displaying the HTML and not interpreting it?  Even the preview in the signature composer shows the HTML and not the final result.  How do I fix this?
