Do you mean a message sent with Evo, being received by Evo?

Message sent with outlook or gmail and received by Evolution.

AFAIK Evo's HTML mode is fairly simple (I never use HTML for mail) and
just supports font and size changes plus some basic paragraph styles
such as lists and indenting. It doesn't have builtin formatting commands
for tables.

An HTML doc created by some other editor and sent as an attachment
should render correctly (if it's correct HTML). If this doesn't work for
you then you should file a bug at http://bugzilla.gnome.org

I've already filed a bug at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=529186
