Hello, friends of Evolution,
due to a Palm data loss (batteries fell out due to defective closing
mechanism) and repeated failed attempts to synchronize my Evolution data
(calendar, tasks and addressbook) the old entries in Evolution do not
appear on my Palm m105 anymore. I assume this is because the database on
the Palm is newer than the corresponding entries in Evolution.
There must be a way how to make older Evolution entries appear on my
Palm, as I do not want to delete and re-enter every single calendar,
task and addressbook item.
I've had a look at the .evolution directory structure in my home folder.
In my ~/.evolution/addressbook/local/system folder I've found the files
addressbook.db
addressbook.db.summary
beagle-4BQ9qZcmpk6M0sMkRAOg1g.changes.db
pilot-map-0.xml
pilot-map-99382024.xml
pilot-sync-evolution-addressbook-0.changes.db
pilot-sync-evolution-addressbook-99382024.changes.db
In the corresponding calendar and tasks folder I've found similar files.
Especially the pilot*.* files seem interesting.
Is there any way of renaming/deleting/changing them to convince my palm
device to see the old entries again?
My system is Debian 4.0 "Etch", with Gnome 2.14.3 and Evolution 2.10.3,
which has been taken from "Lenny".
If this is the wrong list, I apologize. If it's an old topic, please
point me to a thread where I might find help.
Thanks for any input.
Regards,
-Stefan Bischof
