[Evolution] Connecting to Exchange Server 2007

Greetings

I've been happily going along using the latest Evolution.  At work we 
were on Exchange 2000 and I have been able to connect to the Exchange 
Server with very few problems.

Recently we have upgraded our Exchange Server to Exchange Server 2007.  
When I attempted to connect to the new exchange server from Evolution I 
got a message that was something like, "Evolution Email is compatible 
only with Exchange Server 2000 and 2002.  Evolution cannot connect to 
the current version of Exchange Server."  I like it.  Short, sweet, and 
to the point.

My current work arounds are (1) Outlook Web Access and (2) running 
Outlook in Windows in a  vmware environment.

My question is are there any future plans for Evolution to work with 
Exchange Server 2007?  And do you know of any other email clients which 
are compatible with Exchange Server 2007?

I am running CentOS 5 as my Linux distro with Evolution 2.8.0
