[Evolution] ldap

Does LDAP work on 2.8?

I have openldap installed, and can get to it with Luma, Kmail, and
Claws.  I don't want to use kmail or claws, though.  

When I set it up in evolution, I don't get any indication of a problem
other than no data.  I hope I'm doing something wrong but am starting to
get the feeling that it doesn't work.

This is running on Mandriva 2007.  Evo 2.8.0
