[Evolution] Preconfigure evolution

Dear experts,

I have a little question. I want to write a wrapper script to use
evolution. In this wrapper I want to make a preconfiguration for the
user using the evolution client. I think  I have a change to do this
with the gconf2 tool. Does anywone have during this any experience? Can
I use gconf on commandline??
