Hi all;
I'm running Ubuntu 6.06.1 (Dapper Drake), which has Evo 2.6.1
installed. I'm using Evolution with Exchange Connector which in
general works fine. I have two major problems:
1) I don't get notified anywhere when new email is delivered. This
is really annoying. It seems all the mail notifier clients have
been removed or something, and Evo doesn't have any visual
notification either. I enabled a sound when I get email but (a)
it also plays when I delete stuff (since it's been moved to the
Deleted folder) and (b) if I don't have my headphones on I can't
hear it.
What do others do for email notifications? Surely there must be
some solution to this! They've been around forever and are quite
useful.
2) I've been classifying mail as "Junk" and when I do it disappears
from my inbox. However, it's not really gone; Evo is just hiding
it. I understand this is how it's supposed to work, which is
fine. However, the junk mail also doesn't appear in the "Junk" or
"Junk E-Mail" etc. folders; in fact I can't find it anywhere in
Evo. If I go back to Outlook Web Access, I still see all those
messages in my inbox. This bad in many ways.
I filed a bug on this but no response so far. Anyone have any
ideas why I can't find my junk mail through Evo?
