[Evolution] evolution and news server

hi.....I'm using evolution 2.6.3 on fc5 and I cannot to configure news
server. This news server is : news.siportal.it on 119 port. After I
configured it I try to open the created folder , it is in connecting
mode but without response. I tried tha same configuration with knode and
it succeed.....what is it?
