Thanks to all who answered and tried to help me with my problem.  One
very helpful 'How To' was posted by Simon Roberts.  I used it to
transfer my mail from Evo 2.2.3 on Mandriva 2006 to Evo 2.8.0 in
Mandriva 2007.  It worked beautifully.  I didn't have the same luck
transfering from Mandriva 2006 to PCLinuxOS running Evo 2.6.1 because I
get the same error message.  I guess I will have to look into Andre
Klapper's post and try to find the cause.
