FWIW, the "Shortcut Bar" died years ago, as Andre already mentioned.
However, seems to me you may actually be referring to something else...


What "screenshots" and "documentation" are you referring to exactly?

May you be reffing to the Toolbar, by any chance? Does View / Toolbar or
View / Sidebar get you back what you're missing?
