[Evolution] Google webcal access problems

I use evolution to access some Google calendars via private ical URLs.
It worked OK for a little while, then I started getting errors on some
of them.  After a little investigation, it turns out that if the
username has a '.' in it, then it fails.  The error is: "Error on
webcal://www.google.com/calendar/ical/user name googlemail com/private-xxxxx/basic: Not Found"

Is this an Evolution problem or a Google problem?
