Hi

This functionality is available by default in evolution. For any contact
created with birthday &/ anniversary data the events are displayed in
'Birthdays & Anniversaris' calendar under 'Contacts' in 'Calendar' view.
At present B'day & Anniversaries information is picked up only from
'Personal' local addressbook.
You  cannot set Alarm notification in these events, this will be fixed
in evolution 2.6.

Hi,

Is there anywhere a plugin for Evolution that allow to check the
adressbook and alert me (with an alert like the calendar one) when
"today" is the birthday of someone ?

For instance : "SO" is in my adress book and todays it's his birthday.
Then, when I launch Evolution, it alert me and propose me to write a
message to "SO".
