[Evolution] Evolution 2.4 missing folders/emails following SuSE 10 install

Hi, all.

I cannot send or receive messages with Evolution (2.4.0) since I did a clean 
install of SuSE 10.0.      I couldn't use Firefox to access the web either 
despite hours spent with tech support at Isp.com.   Both apps seem to be 
Gnome based.   Is this  significant,  or perhaps I've overlooked some 
configuration steps.

My saved /home/bob folder was only partially restored after the install.    
Contacts are ok, but none of the folders or individual saved messages  will 
display.   Is there something I'm missing  that will retrieve the data and 
allow email functions to return?  If not, will Kmail import my Contacts?
