My Evolution works fine, but executing a session from commandline shows
the following asserts. 
Is this correct?

Most likely, yes. Just don't care about 'em... ;)

FYI, the current GNOME development series has opted to crash on critical
warnings since Jan 1st, to catch and fix these, and make the entire
Desktop even more stable.
