Re: [Evolution] Setting default addressbook for new entries?

IIRC, it was removed due to performance reasons. You will have to type
some name to search the contacts in ldap addressbook.

Where selectbox always shows the default addressbook.
Right-click your global book, click properties and set mark as default
addressbook. The global addressbook will then show up in the where
selectbox by default.

Aha! Good, that kind of solves my problem (another entry on the list
of things that needs to be correctly set for all my users..)

Another, perhaps stupid, question - with Evolution 1.4.5, I could set
the search field to the empty string and then hit enter to get a list
of all entries in the global (LDAP-based) addressbook (up to the limit
on how many entries a search should return). This was very handy in
some situations, but it doesn't work in 2.4.1 - is this a bug or a
feature? :-)
