I'm experiencing some strange behavior regarding rules. I go to my sent
folder and click on a message then go to create rule and create a rule
based on the recipient. Then I immediately go to the message menu and
click on apply rules to message. As I understand this the message should
immediately be moved to the correct folder. This worked for another
message, but doesn't seem to work for all the messages in my sent folder.
Additionally to what Jeff Cai already mentioned:
The text in the status bar for Message / Apply Filters states "Apply
filter rules to the selected messages". Applying filters manually does
work only on the selected messages, not all messages in the folder.
When I apply rules to the message nothing happens. Now considering that I
just made a rule based on this specific message I would think there
wouldn't be a problem with the rule applying.
Is there something I might be missing here?
If all this doesn't answer your question, please explain your issue
again, giving as much details as possible.
