Hi, I've got lots of folders with archived years of mailing list traffic. It's stuff that I'd like to keep in the Evolution "folder tree", but don't look at on a regular basis. How difficult would it be to add a "Compress this folder" option to the right-click Folder Properties dialog window of *local* folders? Seems like zlib and A Little Programming is all it would take. Things could be kept simple by only operating on "leaf folders", and either decompressing and recompressing the mbox on the fly, or popping up a dialog indicating that the folder would have to be decompressed before any other operations (browsing it, adding more emails, etc) were performed on it. Has this been thought of and discarded, not thought of, thought of but wishlisted, or what? Does anyone else think it's a good idea? -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Ron Johnson, Jr. Temporarily not of Jefferson, LA USA PGP Key ID 8834C06B I prefer encrypted mail.
