which does not at all answer andrew's question about the "how". :-( generally, the shell commands need love, e.g. they only work for the primary addressbook, and "evolution-addressbook-clean" has been *totally* unusable since version 2.0 (see the patch [hint, hint!] at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=307513#c3). How do I go about exporting my Contacts as a CSV list, please? Running Evo 2.2.3 Mandriva 2006
you have to run evolution 2.4.x for it, yeah (if you're interested, see http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=269870 for the reason). andrew, locate the file "evolution-addressbook-export" on your system, it should be in /%GNOMEDIR%/libexec/evolution/2.6/ (you can also e.g. use "locate" to find that binary). change to that directory, and run "./evolution-addressbook-export --output=/home/user/filename --format=csv" then, should work. cheers, andre -- mailto:ak-47 gmx net | failed! http://www.iomc.de
