You also need to copy the config data in gconf. Copying over ~/.gconf/apps/evolution should suffice, but be sure to have gconfd shutdown on both machines first.
Using:
gconftool-2 --shutdown
(or maybe gconftool --shutdown on the old machine?)

Hello all,
My apologies if this is covered elsewhere; I couldn't find anything in
the docs.
I would like to move switch my main workstation. The old one is running
a very patched and upgraded redhat 7.3 with ximian evolution 1.4.0. The
new one is running Ubuntu Warty with evolution 2.0.2. What do I need to
move in order to preserve all my account data, virtual folders, real
folders, contacts, etc.?
I tried just tarring up ~/evolution/ and moving it to the new machine,
but that didn't make it happy.
Any tips appreciated.
Thanks,
